Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program Fully Funded

Australia-Indonesia Youth Exchange Program

The Australia Indonesia Youth Exchange Program (AIYEP), established in 1982, links youth (21-25 years old) in Australia and Indonesia through social, professional and cultural exchange.

Participants have the opportunity to travel in Indonesia and Australia, stay with a host family, get involved in the local community and build relationships between our two, neighbouring countries. It is a chance for participants and their hosts to grow their intercultural skills, professional experiences and international networks.

AIYEP runs from October through to February every year, with Australian participants committing to two months in Indonesia from December to February, while Indonesians are in Australia from October through to December.

In 2019-2020 the Australian regional host location will be the Australian Capital Territory, with Brisbane as the urban phase host city. Announcements for AIYEP38's host locations in Indonesia will be made later in the year.

AIYEP is delivered by AFS Intercultural Programs Australia. For more information, visit the AFS website.
