Automatic Master’s scholarships
The below Master’s degrees provide NZ$10,000 or NZ$17,500 towards tuition fees for all international students who meet the entry requirements. These are 180-point taught Master’s programmes with a duration of 1 to 1.5 years.
Master of Conservation Biology
Fees scholarship: NZ$10,000
Master of Intercultural Communication and Applied Translation
Fees scholarship: NZ$10,000
Master of International Trade
Fees scholarship: NZ$10,000
Master of Marine Conservation
Fees scholarship: NZ$17,500
Master of Fine Arts (Creative Practice) scholarships
Creative Practice scholarships are available for international students who specialise in Theatre or Film. Students don’t need to make a formal application for these scholarships—assessment is based on merit once we receive your application. Successful applicants for scholarships will be notified with their Offer of Place.
Master of Fine Arts (Creative Practice)
Duration: 12 months.
Entry: Related Bachelor’s degree.
Scholarships: NZ$5,000–$15,000 (for Theatre or Film)
New Zealand Scholarships programme
Students from eligible countries, including Commonwealth countries, can apply for fully funded study at Victoria University of Wellington through the New Zealand Scholarships programme.
