Paid Internship at National Geographic

Paid Internship at National Geographic

About the Program

Every year, the National Geographic Society provides a number of students with a paid opportunity to spend the summer exploring and learning with us. Our internships are diverse and designed to give undergraduate and graduate students a well-rounded experience.

The purpose of these paid internships is to provide educational and work-related opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. All interns will perform work on a temporary basis to gain job-related skills and will engage in other formal learning and educational opportunities. The program offers support and guidance from a wide array of National Geographic staff and focuses on giving interns the opportunity to learn from the host department/mentor, the management team, other staff members, and Human Resources.

An intern should be a student enrolled at an accredited college or university and be a rising junior or above. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
