PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

The objective of the Digital Marketing Intern is to support consumer engagement and community management through various digital marketing channels.

 

This internship is an excellent learning opportunity for a top talent with strong communication, creative problem-solving skills and a passion for sports and the sporting goods industry. You are going to master challenges in this team as well as be involved in cross-functional projects.

 

Duration: May 10 -August 27 (16 weeks)

Remuneration: 16CAD/ hour

Location: Currently, we are working 100% from home, with no dates of when we will return to the office. There is a high chance that this internship will be virtual. In case of an office reopening during the summer, the internship will take place at the office in Woodbridge, ON, provided that it is safe for everyone.

My name is Alyssa Miocevich and I am the manager of Consumer Engagement here at adidas Canada. Myself and my team oversee customer relationship management (CRM) & email marketing, adidas’ loyalty program, consumer acquisition, audience insights & segmentation, and app marketing. Our team’s main priority is to ensure that our customers have a best-in-class experience when shopping with us and encouraging that they stay loyal to the brand in the future.

The final stage of the selection process/virtual interviews will prospectively be between March 22nd and 29th, with decisions to be communicated shortly after. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in planning and briefing consumer engagement programs (email and app) based on evolving needs of the business.
  • Help with cross-functional coordination and execution of omnichannel membership (Creators Club) activations.
  • Manage ordering and shipping of member rewards.
  • Identify opportunities to curate, produce or procure content that drives ongoing engagement with consumers.
  • Cultivate positive sentiment with our communities by contributing to our organic social and partner publishing tactics and measurement.
  • Provide channel reporting and analytics to deliver insights and recommendations.
  • Work within the greater adidas Brand, eCommerce and Retail teams to meet and exceed department goals of driving sales, retention and customer satisfaction.

 

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

  • eCom, Retail, Brand Comms, Buyers

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ideally, some familiarity with the owned digital channels, specifically email, app and social media.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Creative thinker.
  • A passion for the sportswear industry.
  • Team Player.

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university program.
  • All applications will be accepted and considered. It is our long-term goal to convert interns into full time positions. Students who are planning to graduate within the next 12 months after the internship will be preferred for this program.
  • Experience with customer service and digital analytics is a plus.
  • French proficiency is an asset.
