Eligibility criteria
Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Communication and Advocacy Strategy Specialist and in coordination with the other professionals of the “ Fazendo Justiça ” Programme communication team, the UN Volunteer will support communication activities to reinforce the programme's image and narratives, as well as knowledge management.

The UN Volunteer will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Management of operations related to contracts for graphic production
  • Support information management activities and internal communications, through development of products such as newsletters and clipping.
  • Support the production of general content for external communications, including texts/ articles on programme actions/ activities, pieces for social media, audio-visual material, among others.
  • Support in meeting the communication demands of the national team and the state teams, as well as programme partners.
  • Other communication activities as required by the supervision.

    • At least 2 years of professional work experience in activities relevant to the assignment
    • Experience in following established communication processes
    • Proven experience and ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners including government officials
    • Have affinity with or interest in Peace and Justice, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System

  • Good reading of the communication vehicles and understanding of agenda, benchmarks and trends related to the program;
  • Knowledge of the national and international context in the field of criminal policies and the justice system;
  • General knowledge / computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and equipment / programs for finalizing video, image, audio products;
  • Knowledge about the functioning and use of social media and new technologies in communication.
