Benefit rate of scholarship : 40.38%
Total scholarship amount : 16.9 billion won

 
   Freshman Scholarships
 
 

For the student ranked first on the university’s entrance exam and 

whose score on the College Scholastic Aptitude Test is in the top level nationwide
- Total exemption from registration fees during the stay at school and an annual provision of 3.6 million won
- Priority for admission to the school dormitory and exemption from dormitory fees
- Priority for overseas study after graduation (provision of 12,000 USD)

For the students ranked first by division on the entrance exam, and whose 

score on the College Scholastic Aptitude Test is in the top level nationwide 

(one student in Humanities division, one student in Natural Science division)
- Exemption from registration fees during the stay at school and an annual provision of 1.6 million won
- Priority for admission to the school dormitory and exemption from dormitory fees

For the student ranked first in each college on the university’s entrance 

exam and whose score on the college Scholastic Aptitude Test is in the top

 level nationwide
- Exemption from registration fees and an annual provision of 0.8 million won

Other students ranked first on the entrance exam in each college
- Exemption from registration fees for 2 years after admission

Students belonging to the top 3% of each group of students admitted
- Exemption from registration fees for 1 year after admission

Students with excellent scores on the entrance exam in each group of 

students admitted (about 30% of each group)
- A class: Full exemption (admission fees, tuition, and dues for the 

school supporting organization)
- B class: Exemption from dues for the school supporting organization
- C class: Exemption from admission fees and tuition

Students with parents of Meritorious National Service
- Exemption from registration fees

Students from families on National Welfare Benefits for the Poor 

(including minor householders)
- Exemption from partial or whole registration fees

Students selected by the Scholar Management Committee of the 

University who won a prize in any international contest while in high school
- Exemption from registration fees for 2 years after admission

 
   Internal Scholarships
 
 

Scholarships provided by the government and the school benefactor organization
- Exemption from tuition: 30% of registered students of each college

 (about 7,375 recipients annually)
- Exemption from dues for the school supporting organization: 

10% of registered students of each college (about 1,894 recipients annually)

 
   Corporate Scholarships
 
 

Scholarships provided by benevolent persons or supporters’ 

organization in support of Chungbuk National University’s cultivation of talented students
- Total tuition and school supporting organization dues as well 

as academic stipends (about 122 recipients annually)

Kim Yoo-Rye Scholarship, Shin Un-Im Scholarship, Choi Kong-Sup & 

Chon Chong-Sook Scholarship, Yang Mi-Sook Scholarship,

 Im Soon-Duck Scholarship, and Kaeshin Scholarship, 

Yeoseokdaeji Scholarship, Prof. Park Jeong-Seop Scholarship,

 Jeong Beom-Mo Scholarship

Scholarships provided by local and foreign companies

 and groups supporting Chungbuk National University

 
   BK Scholarships
 
 

- Currently, 50 groups pay the entire educational expenses for 

about 1,400 recipients annually
- Assistance for students after graduation in their pursuit of 

employment or overseas study opportunities

 
   BK Scholarships
 
   BK21 (The second stage of Brain Korea 21) Scholarships
 
 

- An annual grant of 3 billion KRW went into 350 graduates 

doing research (9 program teams in BK21)
- Assistance for students in their pursuit of employment or 

overseas study opportunities after graduation

 
   Corporate Scholarships for Overseas Studies
 
 

Selection of students for overseas study by the Chungbuk 

National University Development Foundation Fund 

(12,000 USD each for two recipients annually)

 
   Korea Research Foundation for Students of Science & Technology College
 
   Interest-Free Loans
 
 

Students from rural areas and students of the Science & 

Technology College from the Korean Research Fndation 

receive about 460 million won for 349 reipients annually
