The YouTube Music Content Operations (MCO) team’s vision is to efficiently build and support the world’s greatest music corpus and help power the products that depend on it. As Product Operations Lead you will build and refine sustainable operations to support the continued growth and scale of this effort. You will be highly proficient in driving maturity, accountability, and continuous improvement from distributed vendor teams.
The role is fast-paced and requires a strong sense of process ownership and engagement, as well as problem solving to help optimize and mature complex workflows for our extended Music Content Operations workforce. You will partner with both Global Scaled Operations (GSO) and Process Specialists (domain SMEs) to plan, launch, and oversee execution of processes, tooling and infra improvements, and resourcing strategies.

  • Own all vendor related engagements with the YouTube Global Scaled Operations (GSO) team as well as Vendor partners.
  • Oversee day-to-day music content operations workflows for YouTube, including YouTube Music corpus support, Official Artist Channel and Ticketing enablement, and more. Note: This is not a customer service operation. Customer service is handled by other teams at YouTube.
  • Define and manage operational metrics and KPIs - volume, quality, cost, etc. - partner with GSO to ensure vendor teams are meeting expectations and delivering exceptional service. Generate insights and execute plans to improve the measures as needed.
  • Drive operational excellence, ensuring superior business results via GSO and vendor partners.
  • Partner with MCO Process Specialists (domain SMEs) to define and advocate for implementation of required tool and infrastructure improvements.
