Title: Intelligent Imaging Intern [PhD preferred]

Lab/Position Summary: The Samsung MPI Lab is currently looking to fill an internship position in the Intelligent Imaging Team. As part of the team, you will be working on algorithms for advanced computational imaging systems using both AI and non-AI techniques to improve user experience and develop new use cases for advanced cameras. You will be working with industry experts and will have a chance to understand how complex camera systems work on flagship smartphones. MPI Lab is an advanced R&D lab directly contributing to and impacting Samsung Mobile’s products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prototype new computational photography features using ground breaking AI and non-AI techniques for multi-camera multi-frame configurations
- Design new AI algorithms, network architectures, and implementations for advanced computational imaging applications
- Demonstrate the feasibility and usability of the technologies by developing demos, measuring key performance metrics and comparing against existing techniques
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or similar graduate-level program
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: CNN-based computational imaging algorithms
- Strong Interpersonal skills
