Under the direct supervision of the Cultural Affairs Officer, the Emerging Voices Program Assistant provides direct support to the American spaces team by reviewing programming ideas for the emerging voices audience at @america, the American Spaces network, and with partner organizations. The Program Assistant coordinates programing with the Youth team, EducationUSA, embassy sections and the @america contractor. They also assist in reviewing content production and report on event outcomes. The employee also supports exchange recruitment for various programs throughout the year based on annual recruitment calendars. The employees supports public programing, giving remarks and presentations at various Public Diplomacy programs or at education USA/American Spaces.
Qualification
- EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience in a position dealing with the public such as (but not limited to) in providing information resources or American studies or International relations content to the public with communications, marketing, or public relations duties in education, government or government relations, public diplomacy (embassies), business, design, digital marketing, non-profits, public relations, advertising, journalism, or corporate communications areas is required.
- At least two years of full time, post-secondary study at college or university is required. (for non-US educational certificate/degree, please also provide US education equivalency certification/transcript)
- LANGUAGE: Fluent Reading/Writing/Speaking English language is required. This may be tested.
