Volunteering Program in Papua New Guinea

Volunteering Program in Papua New Guinea

A number of organisations encourage volunteering in Papua New Guinea. Some are government-based, while others are charities and church-linked organisations. Many Papua New Guineans and Australians have built lifelong friendships and connections through volunteer work and programs.

Australian citizens are encouraged to visit the Federal Government’s Smart Traveller website before undertaking a volunteer placement. Volunteer workers may qualify for special categories of visa under Papua New Guinea’s immigration requirements. More details can be obtained from the PNG Immigration and Citizenship Authority.
