1. NL Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, along with several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The amount of the scholarship is €5,000, which you will receive during your first year of study. It's important to note that this scholarship does not cover all tuition fees. operation criteria: Your nationality is not from the European Economic Area. You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the Dutch higher education institutions that take part in the scheme. You meet the specific entry requirements of the institution you have chosen. You can find these requirements on the institution’s website. You do not have a degree from a Dutch education institution.

2. Leiden University Scholarship 

The Netherlands, also known as the Kingdom of the Netherlands, includes the main country of the Netherlands and six islands: Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. After your visa is approved, you can collect it from the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, you can apply for your residence permit through the Immigration Department. Staff from the Leiden University International Program will provide detailed instructions on the procedures for applying for both your visa and residence permit.

3. Maastricht University Scholarship

The Maastricht University (UM) NL-High Potential Scholarship program provides 21 full scholarships worth €34,000 each year, which includes a tuition fee waiver and a monthly stipend. These scholarships are available for highly talented students from outside the European Union (EU) who have been accepted into a master’s program at UM. The program includes two types of scholarships: the High Potential Scholarship, which is funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund, and the NL Scholarship, which is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science along with Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarships are intended for international students from outside the EU and EEA who want to study a full degree program in the Netherlands.

4. Radboud University Scholarship

The Radboud Scholarship Programme is a highly selective scholarship. It is aimed at talented, highly motivated, non-EEA students who have excellent academic results. It gives them the chance to receive a scholarship for a full English-taught Master’s programme at Radboud University.The scholarship lowers your tuition fee to €2,695.

For example, in the 2026/2027 academic year, a student receiving the scholarship will only pay €2,695 instead of the usual €18,000 (depending on the programme they are studying). In addition to the tuition fee, the scholarship also covers the costs of your visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance).

It is important to note that the scholarship does not cover living expenses or other costs associated with studying in the Netherlands.For the 2026/2027 academic year, a maximum of 33 Radboud Scholarships are available across the following faculties: Faculty of Arts (4 places), Faculty of Law (4 places), Nijmegen School of Management (6 places), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies (3 places), Faculty of Science (8 places), and Faculty of Social Sciences (8 places).

5. Utrecht University Scholarship 

The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) is a selective program for talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA), which includes EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. It is available for students who want to pursue a master’s degree at Utrecht University. To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: You must be in the top 10% of your graduating class. You must not have an EU/EEA passport and must not be eligible for support under the Dutch study grant and loan system. You must have completed your secondary school or bachelor’s degree, or both, outside the Netherlands. You must have applied for an international master’s program with a start date of September 1, 2025. Not all programs are eligible. Check the Master’s programme section under Tuition fees and financial support to see if the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship is listed as an option. The scholarship can be awarded in two forms: either covering the tuition fee, or covering both the tuition fee and the income needed for one year linked to a study residence permit, as determined by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
