A study abroad scholarship program for Asian high-schoolers interested in building their global competence. For this program, AFS is accepting applications from students in the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam.
Eligibility:
Applicants interested in the Asia Kakehashi program must meet the following criteria:
- Between 15 and 18 years of age
- Highly motivated, high-achieving students
- Learn some Japanese before the program
- Able and willing to travel abroad unaccompanied
Benefits of the Scholarships:
- Domestic and international round-trip airfare,
- Dormitory fees,
- Normal school expenses,
- Health insurance in Japan and
- All program costs.
