About the course

This course contributes to building your capacity to design and implement programmes with and for adolescents applying the organizational commitments made to adolescent girls and boys. The course provides you with learning on implementation strategies, delivery platforms, partnership and organizational arrangements needed to achieve sectoral and cross-sectoral results for adolescents in the context of different regions and countries.

The overarching learning objective for this resource is to have a well-informed UNICEF staff (and partners) on the organizational priorities and programmatic approaches to delivering results with and for adolescents.

  • Explain the organisational programming principles for working with and for adolescents.
  • Identify evidence-based implementation strategies, delivery platforms, and partnerships needed to achieve sectoral and cross-sectoral results for adolescents.
  • Utilise the Strategic Framework for the Second Decade to support contextualisation and design of country and region-specific programmes for adolescents.

This course is composed of six short self-paced modules and a quiz testing your newly acquired knowledge.

Each module introduces the key messages from UNICEF’s Programme Guidance on the Second Decade and uses illustrative photos and interactive sections and icons.
