8 List of Scholarship in Singapore

Singapore as a developed country especially in Asia region has also great University in the world such as NTU and NUS. That is why most students after they graduated are planning to Study in Singapore, some of them are applying Scholarship, and here some Scholarship you have to apply : 

1. Singapore International Graduate Awards 

The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS or SUTD. Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be conferred a PhD degree by either NTU, NUS or SUTD.


2. The Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship

The Dr Goh Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship is a private sector scholarship administered by the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS). Each year, 3 to 4 scholarships are awarded to outstanding individuals from 15 Asia Pacific economies (Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, PRC, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar) to pursue undergraduate studies at local universities in Singapore i.e. National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).


3. The Nanyang Scholarship

​The Nanyang Scholarship, NTU’s foremost undergraduate scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes. Nanyang Scholarship recognizes students who excel academically, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding co-curricular records. Hence, it is important to be prepared at each stage of the application and interview process. Please read the information below before submitting your application. If you’re short-listed, be sure to leave a great impression at the scholarship interview. 


4. ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship

The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is a freshmen scholarship offered to support outstanding students from ASEAN member countries (excluding Singapore).   Candidates will be considered and shortlisted for the scholarship through their applications for undergraduate admission to NUS. No separate application is required for the scholarship.


5. NUS Master and PhD Scholarship

The National University of Singapore (NUS) is making available the Commonwealth Scholarship for outstanding graduate students from Commonwealth countries for research leading to a higher degree (Masters or PhD) at the University. This Scholarship is for new, incoming students who are not Singapore citizens or permanent residents. A number of students are selected each semester by the University for the award.


6. ASEAN Graduate Scholarship

ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute invites outstanding Southeast Asian postdoctoral or eligible PhD candidates undertaking research on ASEAN and Southeast Asia to apply for the ASEAN Graduate Fellowship at the ASEAN Studies Centre. This programme seeks to encourage and develop ASEAN Studies and contribute towards better regional understanding of the ASEAN Community. Successful applicants will receive access to ISEAS expertise and material resources, as well as an institutional home to tap into other Singapore-based resources. ASEAN Graduate Fellows will receive institutional and funding support of between six (6) months to twelve (12) months depending on the fellowship duration.


7. Singapore Institute Technology Scholarship

SIT is pleased to offer a range of scholarships that will equip its SITizens with the necessary resources and opportunities to fulfil their potential. These scholarships are generally awarded based on merit and duration ranges from one academic year to the full duration of the degree programme


8. James Cook University Singapore Scholarship

James Cook University is awarding Merit Scholarships to high calibre individuals with outstanding academic achievement and well developed skills in critical thinking and creativity. These scholarships are competitive and are only available for students studying at the Singapore campus of James Cook University.
