The 2021 GLAM Postdoctoral Fellowship program is now open to receive applications. This annual program is aimed at recruiting young scientists of exceptional ability to work in the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials at Stanford University. New Fellows are selected each year based on a competition.
We seek early career scientists of exceptional ability who will flourish in, and contribute to, the highly interactive and collaborative materials research environment of GLAM. The appointment includes 2 years of support with a competitive salary and benefits, and $5,000 in discretionary funds to cover research and/or travel expenses. The competition is open to both theorists and experimentalists.
Candidates are asked to submit online a curriculum vitae including publication list, and a two page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within GLAM. Candidates are also required to identify one or more host faculty within GLAM, with whom they have discussed their proposed research and who will be asked to submit a nomination letter on their behalf. GLAM faculty are encouraged to nominate only one applicant. Candidates should also arrange to have two letters of reference submitted online.

The deadline for applications for the 2021-2023 competition will be 12:00noon PST on Friday, October 30th. We expect to be able to make offers to successful candidates in early December. Appointments are expected to begin during the period June – Dec, 2021.
